    Susan has worked in property since 1985, relocating from London in 1993 and joining Finders Keepers in 2003, where she is now Branch Manager of the Abingdon office. She is an individual member of ARLA (the Association of Residential Letting Agents) and holds the NFOPP Technical Award in Residential Letting & Property Management.

  • Membership Secretary - Simon Bassett (Withy King)

    Simon qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and became a partner in the Oxfordshire firm, Marshall & Galpin, in 2002. He joined the Family department at Withy King as a result of the two firms' merger in September 2008. Simon specialises in family law and is also a Trustee Board member of Abingdon Citizens' Advice Bureau and a Director of Citizens' Advice Oxfordshire.

    Since graduating from Oxford Polytechnic in 1985 Janice has been the joint owner of the Gift Centre, an independent retail shop in Abbey Centre (formerly Bury Street Precinct). Janice has lived through many of the problems and issues that affect Market Towns.

  • Judith Knight

    The Knight family has a long history of retail in Abingdon beginning with Fred Knight some fifty years ago when he established F. Knights. This business later became '& sons' when Mervin and Andrew joined. I followed them into retail some eight years ago when I brought Brian Gower Shoes and began trading as The Shoe Shop of Abingdon. Our interests in Abingdon are twofold as business owners and as residents of the town centre.

    After 13 years in Marketing and project management with large companies Nick started his own video production business tracking-shot in 2008. Having set up at a difficult time for the economy Nick understands the issues facing small and young businesses.

  • Nick Cosford (Cosford Publishing)

    Since 2000 Nick has co-owned the Gift Centre, mainly running Abingdon Gallery (first floor). As a Fine Art Trade Guild commended Picture Framer Nick runs a small picture framing business. A former District Councillor 95 to 99, he understands and is passionate about the issues that affect independent retail in Market Towns.

  • Patrick Bird (Interactive Performance Management)

    Patrick spent 30 years in International corporations latterly as Finance Director and Project Director. In 2002 he gave it all up went to drama school for a year and subsequently acted professionally for 3 years. He set up InterActive 18 months ago, coaching, mentoring and training and is passionate about the need to do business locally in order to protect our economy and our environment.

  • Rose Samways (Abingdon Sports)

    I am the Business Manager for Abingdon Sports - dealing with the accounts, website and marketing.

    My husband - Michael, deals with the day-to-day running of the shop. His retail knowledge is second to none - as he has over 40 years experience of selling in the sports industry.
